Ron Benoit fought cancer for 2-years, then rolled out of bed, hit his head, and died of a brain hemorrhage on Sunday, September 13, 2020.
Ronald Benoit was born in Canada, raised in La Habra, California, and finished his life in Pahrump, Nevada. He was one of 6-children born to Leonard and Marguerite Benoit. He married Kathey Baird, his wife of 40-years, and they raised their older children in La Habra.
In 1988, they moved to Pahrump when they and their partners purchased Astro Disposal. In 1995 their youngest, their niece Bonnie came to live with them.
He was a proud and active member of Lions in both La Habra and Pahrump. Ron was President twice of the Pahrump Valley Lions, and twice he was the District Budget Chairman for the Nevada Lions.
