Joyce L Piotter

Joyce L. Piotter, age 79, peacefully left her earthly body in the early hours of July 10th, joining her husband Ronald "Ron" in the arms of the Lord.  Born December 11, 1940 in Ithaca, New York to DeForest and Eleanor Rundle, and resided in Pahrump, Nevada at the time of her passing.

Joyce had a number of titles in her life: foster mother, hairdresser, office worker, flower shop attendant, volunteer, and friend to many. The title that meant the most to her was that of wife.  Joyce met her soul mate Ronald "Ron" Piotter while working at the test site of Nevada.  They were married June 16, 1962. 

Joyce loved to travel, was an avid reader, amateur photographer, and meticulous journalist.  She loved to entertain, filling her home with laughter, family, friends, and memories.  Joyce was an animal lover; her home was always full of rescues.

Joyce is survived by siblings Kathleen Rundle, and Michael Rundle; Great Aunt Myrtie; devoted sister-in-law Penelope "Penny" Richardson; special niece and God daughter Cathy Peterson; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, special friends Nancy Cratty, Janie McDougall, Kathy Allen, and Angela Goodman.

Joyce was proceeded in death by her husband Ron, parents, sister Marlea Patterson, brother-in-laws Paul Piotter, and Alvin Richardson, and nephew David Richardson.

The family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to Joyce's special friends Karen Beyers, and Kayleen Goodrich, and to Erica Araujo and Maryann Howard of Infinity Hospice, and the nursing staff of Givings Home Health for the compassion, care, love, and support they gave to Joyce at the end of her life.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given in Joyce's name to West Star Ranch Animal Rescue and Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, both of Pahrump, Nevada.

Joyce's interment of ashes will reside with Ron's in Harbor Beach, Michigan.  A celebration of life ceremony will be held Friday, July 17, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Pahrump Family Mortuary.
