The sunrise upon George Washington "Uku" Kahahane Jr. on May 25, 1952, and the sunset on him on January 7, 2021 at his home.

Mr. Kahahane was born and raised in Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii. He was a fisherman, a rock wall builder for large construction, and a heavy equipment operator for the Wulfenstein Construction Company, Inc. in Pahrump, Nevada.

He is survived by his wife, Josephine H. Koa Kahahane, his daughter, Jaqueline K. Koa-Farrell (Will Farrell), his son, Byron K. Kahahane Sr (Angie Kahahane) and daughter, Adeline I. Kahahane (Javon Rabb Sr.). Two granddaughters, Crystal K. Koa-Hernandez (Bryan Clemente) and Breanne L. Kahahane. Five grandsons, Anthony E. Talagon (Esmeralda Vega), Byron K. Kahahane Jr, Joaquin I. Koa-Hernandez (Vicky Martin Ramirez), Chauncey M. Kahahane and Javon D. Rabb Jr. Son in Law Cesar H. Vigaray. One brother, Melvin Kahahane, and four sisters, Luana Ferguson (Fergie), Yvonne Peters (Hanalei), Georgette Kahahane, and Jeanette Fakavai (Fenuki). And numerous nieces and nephews.
