Farrell Kofoed Barton passed away on January 20, 2020 at the age of 85 while waiting in line at the local Smith's grocery store in Pahrump, NV. He obviously was not ready to go, had plenty of life left in him, and was taken much too early.
Farrell was born on May 7, 1934 in Preston, Idaho. He enlisted in the Army in 1953, and served honorably during the Korean War.
Farrell moved to Long Beach, CA where he graduated with a degree in Mathematics. He played college football with some of his close friends. He went on to work in computer science in the Aerospace Industry. He worked for McDonnell Douglas in Southern California, in management.
Farrell was married in 1965 to Yvette (Berezowsky), raised her two boys Brent and Bruce (Allen) and had a beautiful baby daughter Monique (Barton) in Seal Beach, CA. He later moved to central California, where he worked for Vandenburg Air Force Base. His last employment was with Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, NM where he completed his career and retired at the early age of 55, and moved to Las Vegas, NV. He moved out to Pahrump, NV near the winery with a beautiful view of Mt. Charleston, where he could be near his Aunt who was also living in Pahrump, NV.
We will miss him dearly and remember him as the sweet, strong, and wise father, grandfather, and husband.
Farrell is survived by his daughter Monique, 2 grandsons, Jeffrey Barton and Kenneth Barton.
Graveside services will be held at a later date at Forest Lawn in Cypress, CA, where his parents are also buried.
